Syrian rebel fighters said Monday that President Bashar Assad’s military forces used chemical weapons to attack a base located in Adra, a town just outside Damascus.
At least two were killed and nearly two dozen injured in the multi-rocket attack, Ynet News reports.
“Doctors are describing the chemical weapon used as phosphorus that hits the nervous system and causes imbalance and loss of consciousness,” said Mohammad al-Doumani, from the town of Douma, where the wounded were taken for treatment, Ynet reported. “The wounded are being treated with Atropine.”

Last week, government forces accused rebel fighters of firing a missile carrying chemicals into Aleppo, killing 26, Ynet said.
Confirmation on chemical warfare does not exist in either attack.
