An inmate at the D.C. Jail was stabbed by another inmate Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The male inmate who was attacked was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, Department of Corrections spokeswoman Sylvia Lane said.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident and a spokesman said Wednesday officers have “arrested” another inmate. The spokesman had no further information about the attack.
