WHAT’S COMING: Memjet and partners are bringing out a new type of desktop printer that can churn out one page in color every second.
HOW THEY DO IT: Memjet uses inkjet technology but it has a print head that’s as wide as the page. That means it doesn’t need to sweep from side to side, making it much faster.
WHAT ABOUT HOME PRINTING?: Memjet isn’t targeting the home for now, because consumers don’t have as much need for speed as business users do.
