OPINION:
It’s bad enough that China caused a worldwide pandemic that killed millions with the aid of our tax dollars and the blessing of Dr. Anthony Fauci. But now that it has brazenly chosen to spy on us, egregiously violating U.S. airspace, it cries foul when we notice and put at end to the illicit activity (“China: U.S. violated ‘international practice’ in shooting down spy balloon,” Web, Feb. 5).
Well, China can cry foul all it wants. In the final analysis, it was defying the sovereignty of U.S. airspace and deserved to have its balloon shot down. If the situation had been reversed, China would have shot us down in a heartbeat.
In the meantime, the world was watching our government’s lackadaisical response to the Chinese spy balloon. As a result, we shouldn’t be surprised if more provocation from our adversaries follows.
