I was unpleasantly unsurprised by the Biden regime’s handling of the Chinese spy balloon last week (“Biden vs. Party ‘balloon,’” Web, Feb. 5). The excuse to leave the balloon alone until after it traversed the U.S. because people might get hit by debris was ridiculous. Last time I checked, there are not a lot of people in the Aleutian Islands or most of Montana, so that rationale just does not hold water.

Since the U.S. under President Biden was too timid to shoot it down at first, we could have asked Canada to do it for us. We do not want them spying on our nuclear facilities.
