LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska fans can now use text messaging to buy tickets that suddenly become available for home games in football and three other sports.
The athletic department Tuesday announced the launch of Big Red ReplyBuy via its new partnership with global sales platform provider ReplyBuy.
Registered fans will receive texts to notify them if tickets become available from allotments previously reserved for the visiting team, player comps, recruits and high school coaches.
The faster a fan responds, the better his or her seat locations will be. Electronic tickets will be delivered to a buyer’s phone upon purchase and can be scanned at the game.
ReplyBuy will be used for volleyball, men’s basketball and baseball in addition to football.
