Republican Spencer Cox

Spencer Cox (b. July 11, 1975, Mt. Pleasant, UT) is a 2020 Republican candidate for Governor of Utah. He is the current Lieutenant Governor. He was appointed lieutenant in 2013 replacing Greg Bell, who resigned citing financial reasons. Cox earned an associates degree from Snow College, a B.A. from Utah State University and a J.D. from Washington and Lee School of Law in Virginia. He practiced law with the law firm Fabian and Clendenin. He later worked as vice-president and general counsel for CentraCom, his family-owned Utah telecommunications company. Cox served as the former County commissioner of Sanpete, Fairview mayor and city councilman. Cox also served in the Utah House of Representatives.
