John Barry Larson (b. July 22, 1948, in Hartford, CT) is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives to represent Connecticut District 1. Larson was first elected to the House in 1998. He has not announced his intentions to seek reelection to his current seat. In 2018, Larson won seat by defeating Jennifer Nye (R) and Tom McCormick (G) in (Larson – 63.9%; Nye – 35.0%; McCormick – 1.1%). Larson is a former member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing the 3rd District.
