Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick

Ann Kirkpatrick (b. March 14, 1950, in McNary, AZ) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing the 2nd Congressional District of Arizona. She was first elected in 2018. Kirkpatrick is running for re-election to the U.S. House. In 2018, Kirkpatrick won election by defeating Republican Lea Marquez Peterson (Kirkpatrick - 54.7%; Peterson - 45.2%). Kirkpatrick earned both an undergraduate and a law degree from the University of Arizona. Prior to her career in politics, Kirkpatrick was in private practice and later served as deputy county attorney in Coconino County, Arizona. She is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives. Kirkpatrick previously represented Arizona's 1st Congressional District from 2009 to 2011 and 2013 to 2017.
