Democrat Diana Degette

Diana DeGette (b. July 29, 1957, in Tachikawa, Japan) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing Colorado's 1st Congressional District. She was first elected to the House in 1996. DeGette is running for reelection to the U.S. House. In 2018, she defeated defeated Republican Casper Stockham and Libertarian candidate Raymon Doane (DeGette – 73.8.%; Stockham – 23.0%; Doane – 3.1%). DeGette earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado College and went on to earn a law degree from New York University. She began her political career in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1992-1996.
