Republican Bruce Westerman

Bruce Westerman (b. November 18, 1967, in Hot Springs, Arkansas) is a Republican member of the U.S. House, representing Arkansas's 4th Congressional District. Westerman is running for reelection to the U.S. House. He first won election on November 4, 2014. In 2018, he defeated Democrat Hayden Shamel (D) and Tom Canada (Westerman – 66.7%; Shamel – 31.2%; Canada – 1.9%). Westerman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and a masters degree from the Yale Forestry School. Before holding public office, he worked as an engineer. Westerman is a former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives.
