Republican Roger Williams

Roger Williams (b. September 13, 1949, in Evanston, IL) is a Republican member of the U.S. House representing Texas's 25th Congressional District. He is seeking reelection to his current seat. Williams was first elected to the House in the general election in 2012. In 2018, Williams defeated Democrat Julie Oliver and Libertarian Desarae Lindsey (Williams – 53.5%; Oliver – 44.8%; Lindsey – 1.7%). Williams earned an undergraduate from Texas Christian University. After earning his degree, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves and played in their farm system. He was a small business owner and the head baseball coach at Texas Christian University. Williams was later appointed as Texas Secretary of State.
