Democrat Joseph Courtney

Joseph "Joe" Courtney (b. April 6, 1953, in West Hartford, CT) is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives to represent Connecticut 2nd Congressional District.  Courtney was first elected to the House in 2006. He is seeking reelection to his current seat. In 2018, Courtney won reelection by defeating Dan Postemski (R) and others (Courtney – 63.2%; Postemski – 35.4%; others – 2.3%). He earned his B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from University of Connecticut. Larson is a former member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 56th District from 1987-1994. He is an attorney by profession.
