Democrat John Weston

Kael Weston is a 2020 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Utah. Weston earned his B.A. from the University of Utah, Provo and a Masters from Cambridge University, Cambridge, England. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the Amsterdam School of International Relations, University of Amsterdam and a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, London School of Economics. Weston worked as a diplomat for the U.S. State Department, including seven years in Iraq and Afghanistan as a political adviser attached to Marine infantry units. He is the author of the nonfiction book “The Mirror Test: America at War in Iraq and Afghanistan” about his work.
