Democrat James Langevin

Jim Langevin (b. April 22, 1964, in Providence, RI) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District. Langevin was first elected to this seat in 2000. In 2018, he defeated Patrick Donovan (R) (Cicilline – 66.7%; Donovan – 33.1%). He received his B.A. from Rhode Island College and a M.A. from Harvard University. Langevin is a former Rhode Island secretary of state.
