Rosa L. DeLauro (b. March 2, 1943, in New Haven, Connecticut) is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives to represent Connecticut District 3. She was first elected to the U.S. House in 1990. She has not announced her intention to seek reelection to her current seat. in 2018, DeLauro won seat by defeating Angel Cadena (R) and others (DeLauro – 93.6%; Cadena – 6.4%). She earned her M.A. from Columbia University. She is a former executive director of a nonprofit.
