Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is in “excellent physical health,” his doctor wrote in a letter released Thursday.

Mr. Trump’s liver function and thyroid function tests are all within the normal range, and his last colonoscopy was performed in 2013 and was normal, Dr. Harold Bornstein wrote in a letter released Thursday by Mr. Trump’s campaign.

Dr. Bornstein, Mr. Trump’s personal physician, wrote that Mr. Trump takes the lipid lowering agent rosuvastatin and a low dose aspirin and does not use tobacco products or alcohol.

“In summary, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health,” Dr. Bornstein wrote.

Mr. Trump had a physical exam on Sept. 9 administered by Dr. Bornstein, who wrote a letter last year saying Mr. Trump would be the healthiest individual ever elected to the White House.

“Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump, who is setting records for number of events, size of crowds, and breadth of travel on the campaign trail, determined in light of increased scrutiny of candidates’ health, it was important to have a detailed physical examination for all the various standard tests attributable thereto,” the Trump campaign said.

“We are pleased to disclose all of the test results which show that Mr. Trump is in excellent health, and has the stamina to endure — uninterrupted — the rigors of a punishing and unprecedented presidential campaign and, more importantly, the singularly demanding job of President of the United States,” the campaign said.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has been sidelined from the campaign trail the past several days because of a bout with pneumonia, but is scheduled to return to the trail on Thursday. The Clinton campaign released a letter from Mrs. Clinton’s personal doctor on Wednesday saying she continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as president.
