Police ID remains behind Pasadena shopping center as missing mom

The remains of a woman found behind a Pasadena shopping center this month have been identified as that of a 20-year-old woman who went missing in May, Anne Arundel County police announced Friday.

Jessica Lynn Lee was last seen at a Shoppers Food Warehouse in Brooklyn Park on May 8. Her remains were found three months later in a wooded area behind a shopping center about six miles away in Pasadena. Police are investigating Lee’s death as a homicide and said she was killed by some sort of trauma to the upper body.

A missing person’s report describes Lee as a young mother with developmental disabilities who had a tendency to trust strangers.

Investigators had no details on the circumstances surrounding either her disappearance or her death and are seeking out anyone who may recall having seen Lee on the day she went missing, a county police spokesman said.
