Mystics coach and general manager Trudi Lacey likes post players, and is remaking the Mystics roster from the inside out. The latest move made by the Mystics was picking up center Ashley Robinson for forward Victoria Dunlap, the team’s second round pick last season.

“We welcome Ashley to the Mystics,” said Mystics general manger and coach Trudi Lacey in a statement released by the team.

“She is a veteran center with championship experience. Her size, athleticism and shot blocking ability gives us a new dimension at that position. Ashley brings depth to our team which is important as we continue to add pieces for a playoff run this upcoming season.”

Robinson, 6-foot-4, is an 8-year veteran who spent the past five years with the Seattle Storm, and has a career average of 3.8 points per game, and 3.9 rebounds per game. Robinson won a Championship with the Storm in 2010.

The Mystics now have four center’s on their roster, with Robinson, Michelle Snow, Nicky Anosike and DeMya Walker. The Mystics finished with the WNBA’s second-worst record in the league last year, 6-28.
